Pentecostal Growth

Pentecostal and charismatic expressions of Christianity are the leading edge of Christian growth around the world. Pentecostal Christians are typically more missionary in orientation, placing a high emphasis on lay evangelism through personal networks. Much Catholic growth since the late 20th century has also occurred through the Catholic charismatic movement. With the exception of the Orthodox, all other Christian traditions demonstrate trends of growth or stability in Africa and Asia in the coming decades.
