Reaching People on the Move | Global Mission Through Mobility Panel Discussion

How can we better reach the world’s most mobile, least-reached, and spiritually curious populations? In this dynamic panel hosted by the Lausanne “People on the Move” networks, leaders from Jewish Evangelism, International Student Ministry, and Least-Reached Peoples share how global migration and mobility present unique gospel opportunities—and why strategic collaboration is essential.

Panelists:

  • Dan Sered – Catalyst for Jewish Evangelism
  • Francina De Peter – Catalyst for International Student Ministry
  • John Becker – Representative of the Least-Reached Peoples Network
  • Moderated by Bodil Skjøtt

Key Takeaways:

  • Many least-reached people groups—including Jewish and ultra-Orthodox communities—are now within reach in global cities and universities.
  • International students are a highly open and strategic population for the gospel, yet often remain under-engaged.
  • Hospitality is a powerful act of witness. Inviting people into our homes creates relational bridges that often extend across generations and borders.
  • Collaborative evangelism across networks allows us to share resources, discipleship pathways, and support systems that multiply long-term gospel impact.
  • The Church must equip everyday believers—not just specialists—to welcome, disciple, and send people on the move for the sake of the Great Commission.

Dan Sered

Catalyst for Jewish Evangelism

Dan Sered was born in Israel to a secular Jewish family and later relocated to the United States while he was in his teens. Dan attended Stony Brook University in New York where he met Dinah, a Jewish believer in Jesus who showed him how Yeshua (Jesus) fulfilled the prophecies of the Messiah. Dan’s eyes were opened and he committed his life to the Lord.

In 1999 Dan and Dinah were married and soon after began serving as missionaries, joining Jews for Jesus and later moving to Israel. In 2006 Dan became the Israel director of Jews for Jesus, which quickly became the largest branch of the ministry worldwide. In 2019 Dan was appointed as a chief operating officer for the organization and specifically supervises the day-to-day efforts of the branches in Europe, South Africa, Israel, and Australia.

Dan received his MA in ministry and leadership from Western Seminary and his DMin in leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is the president of the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism and serves as co-catalyst for the Lausanne Jewish Evangelism Network. Dan is also an adjunct professor at Israel College of the Bible in Netanya and helped to pastor All Nations Church in Petah Tikvah, Israel, for 17 years. He and Dinah have three children: Yael, Eithan, and Yoav.
