Purposeful Work from Creation to Return – Panel

What does it mean to live out purposeful work that honors God—from Genesis to Revelation? In this inspiring panel from the Workplace Track at the Fourth Lausanne Congress, five leaders share how God calls, equips, and sustains His people for redemptive work in diverse industries and contexts.

  • Wendy Simpson (Australia) shares her journey as a Christian business leader and advocate for women entrepreneurs. She highlights God’s original design for men and women to reflect His image through creativity, innovation, and leadership.
  • Mimi Chan (USA) speaks about her early experience of faith at work in Big Tech and her passion for discipling others in the marketplace. She calls Christians to awaken, be courageous, and see their workplace as a mission field where revival can begin.
  • Jerry White (USA) reflects on a lifetime of service in both the U.S. Air Force and the Navigators, reminding us that God calls all believers—engineers, officers, missionaries alike—to be fully committed to His purposes wherever they work.
  • Mahafahatra Vonintsoa (Madagascar) offers a powerful testimony from Madagascar about how God shaped her heart and vision for national development after coming to Christ. She reminds us that God molds the worker as much as He shapes the work.

Part of the Lausanne Workplace Track Series, this panel explores how God is using His people to restore the world through ordinary work done with eternal purpose.
