Work and Ministry as Worship – Panel

What if your daily work was not separate from worship—but a form of worship itself? In this rich and deeply moving panel from the Workplace Track at the Fourth Lausanne Congress, global leaders share how work, when surrendered to Christ, becomes a powerful act of ministry, healing, and witness.

  • Dr. Gladys Mwiti (Kenya) reflects on her journey from science teacher to pioneering trauma psychologist, describing how worship fuels her work through Oasis Africa to bring healing across Africa.
  • Chansamone Saiyasak (Thailand/Laos) explores how the concept of merit in Buddhist culture opens doors for gospel witness when Christians demonstrate integrity, compassion, and excellence in their work.
  • Carmen LaBerge (USA) shares her experience as a radio host, encouraging believers to “pause” in their work to let the Holy Spirit move—and to be ambassadors of Christ through thoughtful presence and listening.
  • Jim Lapinski (USA) tells the story of Claire, a university professor whose obedience and forgiveness led to an unexpected opportunity to disciple her boss—showing how every workplace can be a place of worship and mission.

Part of the Lausanne Workplace Track Series, this panel is a powerful reminder that the presence of God doesn’t wait for Sunday—it dwells in our everyday work, relationships, and faithful obedience.
