Role of Global Christian Communities to Equip the Saints [Panel]

How can local churches and global Christian communities partner to equip believers for redemptive work across cultures and vocations? In this compelling panel from the Workplace Track at the Fourth Lausanne Congress, four leaders share how discipleship, mentorship, and intentional community are shaping a new generation of marketplace missionaries.

  • Quacy Grant (Guyana) shares his journey as a Christian medical doctor, testifying to the power of global Christian networks—like Gideons and Value of Decision—that helped form his faith and calling in the workplace.
  • Meripeni Ngullie (India) describes the transformational impact of mentoring young professionals in Nagaland through Learning Labs, workplace prayer groups, and faith-and-work cohorts that are changing how people live their calling.
  • Marlene Ganga (South Africa) reflects on launching a business in North Africa and her current work with Africa to Africa Connections, empowering marketplace professionals like “Simon” and “Linda” to live as missionaries wherever they’re sent.

Part of the Lausanne Workplace Track Series, this panel reminds us that global collaboration, local discipleship, and bold vision are essential to equip the saints for every good work—at home and across borders.

Meripeni Ngullie

A God-given privilege: I have been blessed to live in 4 different countries in the past 27 years in South, East and North Africa and the UK.

I love living cross culturally, the challenge of learning a new language and culture and having the opportunity to share my passions and skills with people and communities in these contexts ; adding value and blessing them.

My passion is empowering others through my teaching and training skills whether it is teaching them the Bible or the English language or running a business.

I discovered my love for teaching after spending 10 years in the public sector in South Africa. I then moved on to Madagascar where together with a colleague, we set up a non-residential theological education training program for rural leaders. 7 years later, I led a multi-cultural team from 5 different nations through a cross cultural training program while engaging with university students in a different town. I went on to run a business that provided language, concierge and cultural services. I managed a group of 4 language nurturers in a North African context.

I have two home languages, English and Afrikaans and fairly fluent in Malagasy with basic skills in French and Arabic as well. Being a High School Mathematics teacher, language learning is a puzzle to be solved.

I am passionate about God, His people and the nations. I am now wanting to help others to move cross culturally well that will enable them to thrive and be a blessing to the nation where God has placed them.
