The Lausanne Movement is preparing a global community of mentors to walk alongside emerging younger Christian leaders at the Fourth Younger Leaders Gathering (YLG 4) and beyond.
The YLG 4 Mentor Training is a six-session journey designed to equip mentors for this relational and formative role. Through a combination of biblical reflection, practical tools, and shared learning, the training strengthens the foundation for meaningful intergenerational investment.
A Collaborative Learning Journey
Each session is structured as an interactive panel conversation, creating space for discussion, reflection, and application. Participants engage not only with content, but with one another—reflecting Lausanne’s commitment to collaborative and catalytic mission.
The training is delivered bi-weekly in 75-minute sessions and is supported by a dedicated learning platform, where participants can access resources, recordings, and ongoing materials.
Key Areas of Focus
The training explores essential themes for mentoring within the YLG context, including:
- Friendship Circle values and mentor expectations
- Whole-life mentoring and life mapping
- Scripture engagement and inductive Bible study
- Belonging and becoming in Christian community
- Intergenerational friendship, including engaging Gen Z
- Vision and direction for mentoring within the Younger Leaders Generation (YLGen)
