For the past 50 years, the people group approach to world evangelization has been widely adopted by mission agencies. But in 2025, many are wondering if this approach still effectively engages the complexity and hybridity created by urbanization, globalization and the digital revolution. In short, is this approach part of a bygone era that no longer meets current realities? To answer these and other compelling questions, Lausanne’s Least Reached issue network published a book in 2024 entitled People Vision: Reimagining Mission to Least Reached Peoples. The book includes contributions from 50 leaders and scholars from around the world and represents the most recent attempt to address the challenges made to people group thinking.
