Africa Roundtable on the Theology of Generosity & Fundraising

2 - 6 Feb 2026 Limuru, Kenya

African nations such as Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and Uganda rank among the world’s most generous, according to the CAF World Giving Index 2024, leading globally in helping strangers, volunteering, and charitable giving.

Yet much of the theology and training that shape Christian thinking on stewardship and fundraising have been developed in the Global North, often overlooking the spiritual insights, communal values, and lived realities of African churches.

As the Africa Study Bible affirms, this century presents a unique mission responsibility for the African church—one already being lived out. Across the continent, believers are funding missionaries, supporting Bible translation, and sustaining ministry through biblically grounded, culturally resonant models of generosity.

The Africa Roundtable on the Theology of Generosity & Fundraising creates space for African leaders to reflect together on what it means to give, send, and sustain God’s work from Africa to the world.
