I agree that those living with disabilities have much to offer the church as leaders. Those that share their suffering have a greater likelihood of spreading the Gospel than those that do not. When someone with a disability shares their testimony they take the opportunity to share with others the strength God has given them to overcome and the hospitality shown them by other Christians. In Henrietta, North Carolina (USA), there is a church known as the Church of the Exceptional. This church’s congregation is entirely made up of those with disabilities and their families. The church has buses that ensures people are able to come to the church and the church has a choir that goes out and shares the Gospel through music in the community at different churches and places of worship. It is a moving experience to hear this group sing.
