Mentored to Mentor

For Joseph Opanda Namutala, leadership has always been shaped by community. ‘Everyone is a product of a certain support system,’ he reflects, recognising the people who have walked with him, guided him, and prayed with him throughout his life. That same commitment now finds expression in his role as a mentor at the Fourth Lausanne Younger Leaders Gathering (YLG4).

Having spent years investing in others through conversation, prayer, and shared life, Joseph sees mentorship as a continuation of God’s work through relationships. As he expresses his joy at this opportunity to step into this global space with the Lausanne Movement, he carries forward a simple but powerful conviction: growth happens together, as leaders walk alongside one another in faith.
