A time where we were able to listen to God’s Spirit, to each other, and to the groanings of God’s creation as we seek to discern the future of our global creation care work.
At the Global Creation Care Forum we will be sharing stories of creation care from all 12 regions of the world, and discussing how we can learn from these. The meetings will start with worship and a time to simply meet and chat, after which there will be an overview of creation care globally, particularly since the Third Lausanne Congress in 2010, a reflection on Lausanne 4 which many will have just attended, and several sessions working towards a ‘Seoul Statement’ on creation care inspired by the 2012 Jamaica Call to Action. We will also engage with our Korean hosts in terms of their journey into creation care.
Final bookings will be accepted until 31st July. If you wish to attend virtually, this option costs only $50 and will allow you to watch a live-feed as well as interact via a closed WhatsApp group.
The cost for onsite participation includes transport from the Fourth Lausanne Congress to the So-Mang Retreat Centre on 28th September and to Seoul-Incheon Airport on 2nd October, arriving at 4 PM (please book onward flights after 6 PM).
Please note that by booking a place you will be responsible for raising the costs of attending, in addition to any visas necessary or other expenditure.
We are looking forward to welcome people who have been involved with creation care for years and those who are much newer, representing church leaders / academics / mission leaders and those interested in the intersection of creation care and other issues (including health / business as mission / children’s ministry / urban ministry / poverty).
