This committee established an administrative structure to support the entire Congress and all Congress Committees: budgeting, human resources, translation, printing.  

Arrangements Committee

This committee was responsible for the venue arrangements at the CTICC, security, exhibitions, stewards (volunteers), and catering.

Mr. Arnold Enns, Bolivia and Paraguay, Chair of Broadcast Communications Task Force

This committee was responsible for all areas of communication:  secular, Christian, print, electronic, public relations, advertising, design and logo.  They were charged with communicating the vision, facts and message of Lausanne in general, as well as details of the Congress.  Communications served all Congress committees to ensure continuity of look, design, and message development.

Fund-Raising Committee

This committee was responsible for establishing, leading and empowering an international fundraising team to raise the majority of the financial support needed for the Congress.       

    
Global Participation and Follow-up Committee

This committee was charged with developing a distance-learning program.  In the first instance this used LCWE documents, selected ones being put into curricula for use with individual or groups in churches, seminaries, Bible colleges.  This material was made available before, during and after the Congress to facilitate maximizing the wealth of materials available through the Lausanne Movement.  The distance-learning program also made the necessary arrangements for the Congress to be available by the Internet during the Cape Town meetings themselves, thereby making it possible for people around the world to participate in an open-source format.

Information Technology Committee

This committee advised, consulted and provided all technology needs of the Congress, ranging from Lausanne’s global Internet presence to local computer operations.

Intercessory Committee

This committee established and maintained contacts with prayer partners around the world, seeking to actively engage them in praying for the Congress.  These partners were individuals or groups.  This Committee served all Congress Committees by disseminating prayer requests and communicating answers to this network of pray-ers around the world.

Mission Committee

This committee was responsible to set up evangelistic missions on the continent of Africa prior to the Congress, partnering international evangelists with African evangelists and various care/compassion ministries.  They worked with local committees that were responsible for preparing and running these missions, as well as setting in place a follow-up program connecting all those who respond to local churches.

Participant Selection Committee

This committee coordinated with regional and national committees to select participants to attend the Congress.  They were men and women who representing their part of the world who would return to their homes to implement that which was discussed and learned at the Congress.  Using specific, carefully-developed guidelines, local committees made recommendations to the Participant Selection Committee, which had the final decision as to who attended the Congress.

Participant Services Committee

This committee was responsible for meeting the needs of the participants:  registration, international travel, local transport, planning the Day Out Outreach during the Congress, booking accommodation, establishing selected participant scholarships, emergency care etc.

Programme Committee

This committee was charged with organizing the programme for Cape Town 2010:  plenaries, workshops, seminars, discussion groups, interpretation, worship and arts, opening and closing ceremonies.  In summary, they were responsible for delivering the agreed-upon themes and messages of the Congress to both on-site participants and those connected by the Internet in remote locations.
