A Consultation on Diaspora Missions in and Beyond Latin America

Latin Americans in Diaspora and Diasporas in Latin America

2 - 5 Oct 2025 Águas de Lindóia, São Paulo State, Brazil

Who is moving out of Latin America and the Caribbean, and who is coming into the Latin America and the Caribbean regions, and how does it matter for missions in the 21st century?

How can mission be carried out by, through, and among Latin American diasporas worldwide? What new horizons are emerging for diaspora missions in these diverse contexts? Who is moving out of Latin America and the Caribbean, and who is coming into the Latin America and the Caribbean regions, and how does it matter for missions in the 21st century?

This gathering will bring together leading scholars and practitioners to explore these critical questions. Together, we will:

  • Assess the impact of migration on mission in and from Latin America.
  • Discuss innovative approaches to diaspora missions across different migrant communities.
  • Create a forum for networking and collaboration among researchers and mission leaders.
  • Lay the groundwork for a future publication compiling insights from the consultation.

Join us in São Paulo State, Brazil, for this catalytic conversation as we seek to understand and engage diaspora movements for the advancement of God’s mission. Registration will open soon.

The consultation will take place in three languages—English, Spanish, and Portuguese. The consultation proceedings will be edited into a publication by Langham Publishers (UK).
