Bryn Gillette

Bryn’s artistry is rooted in his identity as God’s child, a husband, a father, and a teacher. His years of artistic training and studio practice have been steadily fed by his involvement in local and international service, making his heartfelt and talented work as well as his speaking presence highly sought after by organizations and private commissions. His recent painting series “Beyond The Ruins- Haiti” is a unique confluence of these multiple streams of influence, creating images layered with meaning.

This twelve door-size painting series has toured the U.S. and has provided ongoing advocacy for the need of Haiti's restoration. Bryn has been a full time art, photography, and Bible teacher at Trinity-Pawling School in NY since 2010. His active membership and regular live painting in local churches, and his ongoing investment in Haiti as a co-founder of his family’s non-profit TeamOne:27, make his life work and artistic ministry distinct from other studio or gallery artists. Bryn earned his B.A. in Visual Art from Gordon College in 2001 and his M.F.A. in Painting from Western Connecticut State University in 2009. He lives with his wife and four children in New Milford, CT.
