The Caribbean is a very vibrant, colourful, and dynamic place. It is a distinct and fascinating sub-region of the Americas. And everywhere, from Belize to the Bahamas, from Jamaica to the Guyanas, and all the French, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, and English territories in between, there are wonderful stories of God at work bringing about the transformation he desires through the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Despite the challenges of natural disasters, climate change, and areas of financial poverty, the Caribbean church is rich in faith and fully engaged in the mission of God in this region of the world.
Through the Lausanne Movement, the Caribbean region will have a platform to share their valuable experiences and stories of how and where God is on the move in this part of the world.
For three days during the summer of 2023 (July 5 – 8), Guyana hosted to one of the most significant Christian conferences in our region – the Lausanne Caribbean Leaders Gathering:
Pray for our work in Caribbean
- Grow in understanding the gospel more deeply – Pray for the Church to be ignited once again by a deep understanding of the gospel and God’s love.
- Wise planning for the future – Pray for the development of long-term plans saturated with wisdom and justice, so that the gospel might be made real for every person.
- Protection from evil – “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.” (John 17:15)
