The Good News in a World of Fake News, Part 2

5 Nov 2021 Online

The Lausanne Theology Working Group hosted the second of three webinars in the series, ‘The Good News in a World of Fake News’. This series seeks to promote a biblical understanding of the Christian gospel and, in particular, to distinguish between the gospel and distorted forms of the gospel now gaining ground in many parts of the world.

The second webinar, ‘Being Shaped by the Story’, was be on 5 November 2021 at 12.00 GMT (see your time zone). The gospel shapes our lives and ministries, conforming them to the image of a crucified Messiah. At the same time, distortions of the gospel also shape lifestyles and ministry styles in predictable and recognizable ways. Ajith Fernando, Ruth Padilla DeBorst, Victor Nakah, and Conrad Mbewe were joined by people from around the world for this important and thought-provoking conversation. Watch the recording below.

The third webinar, ‘Telling the Story’, will take place on 19 November 2021 at 12.00 GMT (see your time zone). Become equipped to tell the story of the gospel, learning how the story remains unchanged even as different contexts shape the way we go about telling the story.
