Accelerating global mission in higher education today
The Academic Ministry & Educators Network (AMEN) will gather for discussion and prayer as we reflect on Lausanne’s global call to action amid pressures on universities and the resignation and passing of Professor Jason Arday, the University of Cambridge’s youngest-ever Black full professor.
Faith Thomas of Choose Life International will moderate the discussion. Speakers will include:
- Dennis Edwards (North Park Theological Seminary)
- Nicholas Rowe (Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary)
- Vanessa Quainoo (Wheaton College)
Together, we will consider God’s way of truth, freedom, integrity, justice, and love in higher education, and how academic ministries and educators can equip scholars to share the good news of Jesus in these times.
Our agenda will include:
- Meeting and greeting one another (10 minutes)
- Panel discussion (40 minutes)
- Breakout room discussion and prayer (20 minutes)
- Next steps together and closing prayer (10 minutes)
