The Great and Pressing Priority of Christian Community

When the world looks at the church, too often they do not say, ‘See how they love one another,’ but rather, ‘See how they attack and hurt each other.’ Too many Christians in churches are suffering from a lack of love, leaving them feeling isolated and lonely, used and criticized. It is not our planning and our programs alone but rather our relationships and our community—that which is costly, sacrificial, compassionate, caring, and self-denying—that will bridge the divides, bind the wounds, and shine as a witness to one another and to the world.
