Kazuhiko (Kaz) Yamazaki-Ransom was born in 1970 in Osaka, Japan. He became a Christian when he was a student at the University of Tokyo. He studied theology in the US, earning an MA (Bethel Seminary, Minnesota) and a PhD (Trinity Evangelical Divinity School). His major research interest is the New Testament, especially Luke-Acts. He currently serves as the academic dean of Covenant Seminary, Tokyo. An ordained pastor of the Japanese Covenant Church, Kaz is the author of The Roman Empire in Luke’s Narrative (T&T Clark International, 2010) and numerous Japanese works.
