Kärin Butler Primuth
Catalyst for Ministry Collaboration
USA
Kärin has served since 2011 as the CEO of visionSynergy, a ministry focused on developing strategic ministry networks and partnerships in critical areas of world mission. Kärin succeeded her father and visionSynergy’s founder, Phill Butler.
Kärin’s vision for collaboration grew out of a wealth of international ministry experiences living in South Africa, India, and China, and traveling to more than 30 countries. She previously served eight years as coordinator of a cross-cultural mentoring program where she developed a passion for equipping mission leaders with effective ministry skills. Before serving overseas, Kärin spent eight years working with homeless families in Los Angeles, where she started an outreach program for children at risk.
Kärin has an MA in urban planning from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a BS in human development and social policy from Northwestern University. She serves on the boards of Asian Access and MissioNexus. She was appointed in 2017 as a Lausanne catalyst for ministry collaboration. She is married, has three children, and lives in the greater Los Angeles area.
