Professor Denise Thompson is a speaker and workshop leader at events across the Caribbean, UK, USA, Africa and Asia, multiple global Lausanne consultations and IFES World Assemblies. In September 2024 she served as one of the plenary speakers for the Fourth Lausanne Congress in Incheon, Korea.

She currently serves as Volunteer Regional Coordinator for CARIFES’ Graduates and Faculty Ministry and is the Associate National Director for IVCF-USA’s Black Scholars and Professionals. She previously served the University of Trinidad and Tobago in various capacities: as its first Programme Professor for its Centre for Production Systems and its Design and Manufacturing Engineering Systems PhD to certificate programmes, as well as its Centre for Innovation, Development, Enterprise and Strategy (C-IDEAS) and in developing its Master’s in Industrial Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management.

Together with her husband, Dr Andre Cooper, Denise volunteers locally as Stanford University IV-GFM campus staff.
