Ashok was born and raised in India. For the first twenty years of his life he lived as a practising Hindu. In the early eighties, Christ became a reality in his life.
He has been involved in missions for more than forty years and is currently part of SIM East Asia, where he is responsible for the Hethne Ministry as a Point Person (MPP) for the Hethne people. Ashok is one of the Perspective Course Singapore directors and the founder of the Hethne Initiative, a global movement focusing on reaching the Hethne people.
He obtained his Master of Theology (Th.M.) from Trinity Theological College, Singapore, and he did his doctoral study at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, USA.
