Movement Day will be held on 29 October 2015 in New York, New York. It is led by The New York City Leadership Center and Dr Mac Pier (Founder and CEO of The New York City Leadership Center, also Senior Associate for the Lausanne Cities Network).
The mission of Movement Day is to cultivate gospel movements in cities by:
- Facilitating unity and collaboration amongst Christian leaders to address today’s urban issues
- Fostering an environment where city networks are strengthened
- Inspiring and challenging catalytic leaders to maximize their leadership potential
Since 2010, the Movement Day Congress has catalyzed leadership teams from the world’s largest cities to serve their cities more effectively by advancing high-level, city-changing collaborative partnerships. Noel Castellanos, Brenda Salter McNeil, Gabriel Salguero, Tim Keller, and Jon Tyson are among the esteemed faculty this year.
The sharing of best practices and the fostering of collaboration between leaders, organizations, and cities takes place during the Interactive Learning Tracks on the afternoon of Movement Day. Topics covered within the tracks are focused on current urban issues or population groups, led by topic experts and practitioners. A few tracks have established ongoing working groups to accelerate their impact within cities.
