Greetings from North America!
I am honored to serve in the capacity of Lausanne Regional Director for North America. As one who is passionate about convening people around the critical issues of our day, I am excited for how God will orchestrate the next decade and more, so that we can work together to see more people reached with the gospel. I believe there is no greater calling than to point people to the only one who can save us individually and corporately.
Churches in North America are facing a number of challenges, both externally and internally. While communities and families continue to fracture, our own witness needs to be lifted high so that people will be drawn to a God who loves beyond measure.
As a missiologist, practitioner, pastor, and leader, I am excited about this next phase of the church’s witness in our world. If we remain true to Scripture and keep our eyes on our Savior, the world will see something worth believing in. Part of that, I believe, is the important role that Lausanne plays in addressing critical issues of our day (discipleship, evangelism, justice, diaspora, orality, poverty, and more).
Lausanne North America includes two national committees, the Mission America Coalition (serving leaders in the US) and Lausanne Canada. Together, we are about the work of reaching North America, and partnering with others in Lausanne International to reach and serve the world.
We will be working in partnership with the Billy Graham Center (BGC) at Wheaton College, where I serve as Executive Director, and this synergy will be a key part of our strategy. For example, each year, my team and I host a national evangelism conference called Amplify. I am excited to announce that our 2018 conference, which will be held 26-28 June 2018 in the Chicago area, will also serve as the North American Regional Gathering for Lausanne. If you are in North America, I hope you will plan to join us!
Let’s make much of Jesus, together!
