Faith under fire: Concern for the growing persecution of Christians. The why, how, and when of Christians/church intervention in human rights issues and political change which prohibits or limits evangelization.
The expected outcomes of the work done on this issue were:
- Guidelines for Christians and churches to know how and when to react to human rights violations and persecution of Christians.
- Case studies of intervention events and their results which could be helpful.
- Identify ways in which those who have become Christians in an antagonistic context may be helped through half way houses, targeted pastoral care and helped as needed to find income earning opportunities.
- Suggest guidelines for Christian media reporting which may help or hinder cases of persecution.
