Lausanne Global Intercessory Prayer Call: Region to Region – Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and English, Portuguese and Spanish-speaking Africa (EPSA)

26 May 2020 Prayer Call

Now more than ever is the time to connect the global body of Christ for global mission, especially for prayer. Therefore the Lausanne Movement hosted a series of Lausanne Global Intercessory Prayer Calls between 18-29 May.

On 26 May at 08.00 EDT (see all time zones), the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region prayed with the English, Portuguese and Spanish-speaking Africa (EPSA) region along with Michael El Daba, Lausanne Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, and Stephen Mbogo, Lausanne Regional Director for EPSA. The call consisted of an update from each region, prayers, Bible readings, written liturgy, and breakout sessions for extemporary prayer.

The regional prayer calls were held in the period between Christ’s Ascension and Pentecost on the church calendar. Alongside the original apostles, we too are expectant, wondering, and fearful as we wait to see how our Lord will move and guide.
