Eurasia

A unique aspect of Eurasia is its rich history. Christianity in Russia is more than 1,000 years old and in Armenia it is 1,700 years old, beginning with the third century AD. Eurasia encompases 11 different time zones and about 200 different nationalities and languages spread across 12 countries. Seventy years under Soviet ruling suppressed the spiritual life of the Eurasian peoples, but God has revived his church.

Despite new challenges and severe conflicts, God is still building his church in Eurasia. In obedience to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ thousands of new churches have been established over the past three decades. The church has also become mature in missionary ministry both locally and globally. Today missionaries from the countries of Eurasia are working in Europe, East Asia, Africa, Australia, and South Asia.

The Lausanne Movement in Eurasia is an excellent tool for equipping leaders of all generations, and a good platform for fostering unity between churches in the preaching of the gospel. A new generation of Christians is ready to serve wherever the Lord calls them. It is time for Eurasia to serve the global church with its gifts.
