The late Lamin Sanneh of Yale Divinity School dared to challenge the narrative of missionary complicity in colonialism, bringing a much needed balance to the historically marred image of Christian witness in Africa. In this age of heated racial tension, may we borrow a leaf from this man that now rests with the cloud of witnesses, and be witnesses in our own times.
