Sara Afshari, originally from Iran, holds degrees in various fields such as Islamic studies, Persian literature, Theology, management, women’s development studies, and adult education. Her postgraduate degrees include a Ph.D. in Media Religion and Culture and an MTh in World Christianity from the University of Edinburgh, and an MA in Media Communication from Wales University.
Sara co-founded SAT-7 PARS, a Christian satellite television channel broadcasting in the Persian/Farsi language for the people of Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, and has also established the PARS Media Trust in London. She currently serves the Lausanne Movement as a member of the LGA Board.
