Children as Co-Labourers in Global Mission

What changes when children are recognised not only as recipients of ministry, but as participants in God’s mission?

A Viva-facilitated webinar introduced the Lausanne Children at Risk Issue Network’s Occasional Paper 80 on child participation to 300 registered participants. The paper expands mission to, for, and with children by affirming mission by children – recognising them as initiators and leaders in God’s work. One participant valued its ‘very practical examples and suggestions of how we meaningfully engage children in the church.’

Alongside World Vision and Viva research that listened to 193 children across 6 countries about God’s kingdom and their role within it, working groups are being established to help partner networks make child participation in churches and ministries a norm – highlighting the value of shared research, relationships, and collaboration to advance global mission.
