When Sophia Roman returned from the Fourth Lausanne Congress, she boldly challenged the Assemblies of God Association (South Africa) to realign its vision with the Great Commission. The result was a denomination-wide commitment to global mission, culminating in a national conference dedicated entirely to the theme.

Lausanne Catalyst Rudolf Kabutz, invited to help lead the gathering, brought biblical teaching, collaborative tools, and Lausanne resources. More than 300 pastors and leaders engaged deeply, with nearly 90% committing to global mission. This spark is now fueling ongoing conversations and momentum across Southern Africa.
