Christian and mission groups, large and small, around the world are invited to participate in the upcoming Fourth Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization through a curated and connected satellite site experience.
Satellite Sites for the Fourth Lausanne Congress
This will allow tens of thousands of Christian groups to wrestle with the gaps in the Great Commission and how their church, NGO, workplace group, institution, mission agency, network, or team might partner towards filling those gaps.
While only 5,000 men and women will be able to attend the congress in person, millions more will be served by the satellite site model. This means that groups from small churches to larger city networks have the opportunity not only to learn from the congress but even participate in the global platform Lausanne is launching to make thousands of strategic global partnerships possible.
We are praying and working towards 100,000 satellite sites around the world. Think of the impact of these groups simultaneously responding to the invitation to partner towards the completion of the Great Commission. The 5,000 participants in Seoul will make a wonderful impact, but how much more will these, potentially millions, make to filling gospel gaps in the world.

The Opportunity
By participating as a satellite site, each group will receive a congress experience tailored to their needs.
The goal is to help host sites experience and learn from the congress, wrestle through the issues presented and how they affect their own local or global engagement, and finally to help them begin the process of connecting with others around the world for Great Commission collaboration.
Following the congress, should the site choose, hosts will be invited to participate in Lausanne’s global digital platform, connecting with others who share their passion and mission vision to collaborate together.
The congress in Seoul is not the end goal. Thousands and thousands of new Great Commission collaborations from 2024–2050 are what we are working towards.
Lausanne 4 (L4) is coming to Seoul next September—Lausanne’s Fourth Global Congress on World Evangelization. Including five thousand Christian leaders and mission strategists from every country in the world, L4 promises to be the most important global Great Commission gathering in a generation. L4 could also come to your campus, through a network of satellite venues that will bring the Congress directly to local communities around the world with live feeds, curated summaries, and remote-only content that will connect your students, faculty, and staff to some of the most comprehensive reports, up-to-date issues, and influential leaders at the forefront of worldwide evangelism.

Lausanne has helped shape not only mission discourse over the last 50 years, but also helped to articulate a Biblically faithful and missional evangelicalism in a world in need of Christ. I am so excited that the upcoming Congress on World Evangelization in Seoul, Korea will be accessible to satellite sites large and small. Frequently Asked Questions
Who can host?
Any church, workplace group, school/institution, NGO, campus ministry group, mission agency, or other Christian group. Hosts will range from a small group to megachurches, and everything in between. Host sites must affirm the Lausanne Covenant and the historic Christian faith and ethic of which it is representative.
What does the programme look like?
The satellite sites program will mirror the on-the-ground programme for the Seoul 2024 Congress, capturing the salient moments of the gathering and delivering those to the sites. Lausanne will also offer content unique to virtual participants. While Lausanne will suggest a programme for host sites, each location will have freedom to shape their experience in a way that will best serve their needs. Some sites may even invite a local or global mission partner to speak, however, Lausanne is not responsible for the viewpoints expressed.
What does a site leader do?
The site leader registers their location, recruits attendees for the site, and facilitates the actual program for their site. They may also oversee the provision of extra resources for their site such as meals, coffee, etc. The site leader is free to delegate any or all of these responsibilities.
What does it cost?
Each site will be required to pay a registration fee of $100. We desire that no group be excluded, so if any feel unable to pay the fee, please contact satellitesites@lausanne.org. We invite those organizations and institutions with capacity to do so to give more, which will allow Lausanne to offer this opportunity to any community who desires to participate. That might look like the following:
- Each church is encouraged to consider giving the equivalent of $1 for each member. So, churches of 100 or more give at least $100. Churches of 250 or more to give $250. Churches of 500 or more to give $500 and so on.
- Each network/organization/small group is, likewise, encouraged to consider what might be possible in light of their capacity.
What languages are resourced?
This will depend on what languages are requested by registered sites. The typical languages served by Lausanne are English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, and Russian.
What would a typical evening/day look like?
Each site will experience a blend of video teaching as well as small and large group facilitation and discussion. Each site will determine a format that works best for them, however, Lausanne will provide curated options for the following timeframes:
- 5-days, 3 hours per day
- A weekend: Friday night, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning
- 1 full day, 8 hours
Can more than one group meet together?
Many churches, for instance, will host their own satellite site, however, we would highly encourage churches/ministries in a shared geographic area to gather together. This may look like a city movement gathering, a denominational or presbytery gathering, a gathering of mission agencies or like-minded ministries, or a shared gathering of campus ministries. We would encourage each church, workplace group, school, or ministry to register separately even if they meet together, so that leadership from each group is being served by the pre-congress process and follow-up opportunities.
