Writer / Copy Editor: Creative Team

The Writer / Copy Editor on the Creative Team is instrumental in crafting and refining content that communicates the essence and objectives of the Fourth Lausanne Congress to a global audience. This role involves translating English content into a specific language, creating original content, and editing content in that language to ensure it is clear, engaging, culturally appropriate, and aligned with the congress’s messaging and tone. The Writer / Copy Editor will also provide language support to team members, playing a key role in the congress’s communication efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Translation and Creation: Translate English content into the specific language and create original written content, including articles, social media posts, press releases, and other marketing materials.
  • Editing and Proofreading: Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency with the congress’s brand voice and editorial standards.
  • Cultural Adaptation: Adapt content to reflect cultural nuances, making it relatable and accessible to the target audience while maintaining the core message.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Creative Team, including designers and video producers, to ensure cohesive and impactful messaging across all platforms.
  • Language Support: Provide language expertise and support to other team members, helping to ensure clarity and effectiveness in multilingual communications.

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in English and the target language, with excellent writing, editing, and translation skills.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Deep understanding of cultural contexts and nuances in the target language, ensuring content is appropriate and engaging.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to grammar, style, and factual accuracy, with a commitment to excellence in all written materials.
