Registration Specialist

The Registration Specialist at the Lausanne Movement will work with the Registration Team Lead to create and operate systems supporting various areas related to registration for global gatherings hosted by Lausanne Movement. This includes the processes of nomination, application, selection, registration, financial appeals/scholarships, and participant support. As directed by the Registration Team Lead, the Registration Specialist will concentrate on specific registration areas for system enhancement and upkeep, contributing to the achievement of overall registration objectives. They will collaborate with other team members or volunteers and will be required to monitor tasks related to their designated focus areas. This multifaceted role demands a self-driven individual, proficient in systems thinking, creative problem-solving, and adapting to evolving requirements to ensure the success of Global Gatherings. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help participants from every country engage in transformation and life-changing gatherings that accelerate global mission.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 40 hours per week, 6 month contract with desire to renew for another 18 months based on performance and mutual agreement

 WORKS CLOSELY WITH: Registration Team Members, Communications, IT, Data Team

 FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Registration Team Lead and other Registration Team members to develop and maintain various registration systems for Global Gatherings.
  • Manage assigned focus areas of the registration process.
  • System development and maintenance of assigned focus areas for the registration process.
  • Monitor progress towards meeting overall registration goals and targets related to assigned focus areas.
  • Employ innovative problem-solving skills to address challenges encountered during the development and maintenance of assigned focus areas.
  • Use systems thinking and relevant data to optimize registration procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service to stakeholders and participants of our Global Gatherings.
  • Maintain a self-motivated approach to tasks and responsibilities within the role.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

      Professional

  • Previous experience in development or maintenance of registration and/or customer service systems/processes.
  • Previous experience with event registration.
  • Innovative, collaborative problem solver.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional, multicultural teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to investing in a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Fluency or high proficiency in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Korean, Chinese or Russian is a plus

 COMPENSATION: Payment will be arranged based on competencies and responsibilities and will be decided on an individual basis. Payment will be contract work, invoiced monthly by contractor.

 LOCATION: Remote working arrangement, with required availability at different times of the day for periodic calls with staff around the world. This position may require some international travel. Travel will be contracted separately.
