Unreached people groups are defined as having less than 5% professing Christians.

There are currently 7,398 unreached people groups around the world that make up 40% of the world’s population.

2 billion of these are in ‘frontier people groups’—where there are virtually no Christians and no known gospel movements.

In other words, 25% of humanity has little chance of hearing the gospel.

Only 3% of foreign missionaries work amongst unreached people groups.

The vast majority of mission prayer, giving and labour focuses on strengthening Christians where Christians are already present.

Only a very small portion of mission prayer and resources go to unreached people groups, and an even smaller fraction goes to frontier unreached people groups.
