Take a look at some of the key concern areas that we seek to address.
The gospel is incomplete without relevant acts of compassion that demonstrate the proclaimed word.
Yet the global church is often split between those who prioritise the ‘spiritual dimension’ …
… and those who prioritise the ‘social dimension’.
If we proclaim the good news of God’s love, we must manifest his love in caring for the needy.
Social activity can be a bridge for evangelism—gaining a hearing for the gospel.
But we can neither embrace a social gospel that loses a focus on evangelism nor ignore our duty to care for the poor and vulnerable.
Christian life should be a balance of proclaiming and demonstrating the gospel of Christ.
How can we see global ministry to the whole person?
Core Ambition
We want to see the whole person under the lordship of Jesus Christ through evangelistic and social responsibility bringing Christ’s transforming grace to the poor and oppressed.
‘Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.’
Matthew 9:35
Take a moment to pray for communities that you minister in—that God would reveal to you how you could be more holistic and integrated in your approach.
So what can we do?
Understand the mistake of practising an incomplete gospel, and reevaluate and adapt your approach to fulfil the mandate for integral mission.
