Key Concerns

Take a look at some of the key concern areas that we seek to address.

Cities are where people are.

Already more than half the world lives in cities, and this is growing rapidly.

An estimated 3 million people move to cities every week.

In cities, there is more image of God per square centimetre than anywhere else in the world.

A third of all people living in cities live in informal settlements or slums.

Our cities are plagued with a number of economic, social, racial and political barriers, and yet the church is quickly losing its urban relevancy.

Core Ambition

How can the churches in cities contextualise and collaborate to contribute to effective gospel movements?

We long to see the flourishing of every city both spiritually and socially.

‘And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.’

Jeremiah 29:7

Take a moment to pray for the peace (wholeness) of your city.

So what can we do?

Know your city. You can only love what you know and understand.
