Take a look at some of the key concern areas that we seek to address.
Where does influence in a society’s culture reside?
Despite the view that culture is changed from the ground up…
…studies show that in reality societal change is mostly initiated from the top down—from a relatively small group of people in positions of influence.
This is especially true when individuals unite together in social networks to leverage their individual influence.
Often the most influential social networks reside in the arena of the university and academia.
Daily, professors shape the minds of future leaders and influencers in business, media, law, politics and the arts.
Secular scholarship is often the seat of secularisation and the rejection of absolute truth.
But universities can also become a platform for overcoming social issues through research and innovation.
The church needs an influential stake among scholars.
How can we see gospel influence in the realm of academia?
Core Ambition
We want to see Christian professors and educators equipped to play a pivotal role in influencing the culture of the day with God’s truth and goodness through their research and teaching.
‘For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes’
Romans 1:16
Take a moment to pray for a Christian academic you know—that they would bear witness to the truth of Christ and his gospel in their sphere of influence.
So what can we do?
Pray for the formation of sound networks that minister to scholars in the academia.
