The Translator / Copy Editor / Writer is a versatile and crucial member of the communications team for the Fourth Lausanne Congress, responsible for translating English content into Russian, as well as writing and editing content in Russian. This role demands a high level of linguistic proficiency, cultural sensitivity, and alignment with the congress’s messaging and tone. The incumbent will ensure that translations are accurate and culturally appropriate, and that all Russian content resonates with the intended audience, reflecting the congress’s themes and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Translation: Translate English congress materials, including articles, social media posts, press releases, and other communications, into Russian, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
- Content Creation and Editing: Write and edit compelling Russian content that aligns with the congress’s messaging, tone, and objectives, engaging a diverse audience.
- Quality Assurance: Review translations and Russian content for linguistic accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and consistency with the Lausanne Movement’s style guide.
- Team Support: Provide language support to other team members, assisting with linguistic queries and ensuring cohesive communication across all materials.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Language Manager and the communications team to ensure that all translated and original content meets the congress’s standards and deadlines.
