Issue Group 11: Marketplace Evangelism

·

Helping the people of God to recover the calling, equipping and mobilization of every believer into ministry in their work place to practise and demonstrate service, witness and righteousness of the Kingdom of God in their relationships, responsibilities and leadership.

The expected outcomes of the work done on this issue were:

  1. Highlighting and affirming the privilege and ministry of the laos of God after centuries of neglect and even opposition.
  2. Providing resources that help the church live up to the declarations made about the ministry of the laity in the 1989 Lausanne II Manila Manifesto.
  3. Affirming and connecting the next generation of Marketplace ministry leaders with each other around the world and across dividing structures.
  4. Identifying the major issues and foundations that affirm this biblical reality in areas such as the theology of work, the calling to priesthood and ministry to every believer, the church in the world, and recognising Jesus’ Lordship over all creation and the witness of every member to His Lordship.
