Now more than ever is the time to connect the global body of Christ for global mission, especially for prayer. Therefore the Lausanne Movement hosted a series of Lausanne Global Intercessory Prayer Calls between 18-29 May.
On 18 May at 09.00 EDT (see all time zones), the South Asia region prayed with the Caribbean region along with Chadwick Samuel Mohan, Lausanne Regional Director for South Asia, and Las Newman, Lausanne Regional Director for the Caribbean. The call consisted of an update from each region, prayers, Bible readings, written liturgy, and breakout sessions for extemporary prayer.
The regional prayer calls were held in the period between Christ’s Ascension and Pentecost on the church calendar. Alongside the original apostles, we too are expectant, wondering, and fearful as we wait to see how our Lord will move and guide.
